Who we are

Recore Engineering Ltd(“we”) is a DPF cleaning workshop based at 10 Commercial Rd, London N18 1TP. We are the data controller for the personal data described here. Questions: recore.engineering@gmail.com or +44 7777 200415.

What we collect and why

• Enquiry details — when you submit an enquiry or trade application we collect your name, email, phone, vehicle details and message, so we can respond and quote for the work. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request prior to providing a service.
• Vehicle registration lookup — if you enter a registration to check your DPF, we send it to the DVSA MOT history service to retrieve public vehicle data (make, model, engine, fuel, date). We use the result to show whether your vehicle has a DPF. We do not store your registration or put it in a web address, page title or analytics record. It is only kept if you go on to submit an enquiry, as part of that enquiry.
• Analytics — if you accept cookies, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the site (e.g. which pages lead to enquiries). This is based on your consent.

How long we keep it

Enquiry data — including a vehicle registration submitted as part of an enquiry — is kept for 24 months from your last contact with us, then deleted. This lets us honour warranty queries and repeat work without holding data indefinitely. For error logging and repeat-lookup counting we may store a one-way salted hash of a registration, from which the registration itself cannot be recovered. To have your enquiry data deleted sooner, email recore.engineering@gmail.com with the reference from your confirmation and we’ll remove it.

Cookies

We set no analytics cookies unless you acceptthem on the banner. If you decline, Google Analytics is never loaded. To change your choice later, clear this site’s data in your browser and the banner will appear again. The site does not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Who we share it with

We use trusted providers to run the site and respond to you: the DVSA MOT history service (vehicle lookup), Resend (email delivery), Google Analytics (if accepted) and our hosting provider. We do not sell your data.

How long we keep it

Enquiry and job records are kept for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet our legal and accounting obligations (records relating to a transaction are typically retained for up to six years for UK tax purposes). Analytics data is retained per Google Analytics’ standard settings.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, or object to how we use it. To do so, contact us at recore.engineering@gmail.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
